The Salton Sea in and of itself in an experience for all the senses. The sounds of the wildlife are teaming. Sunrise and sunsets here are awesome on calm day. The lake becomes a sheet of glass pierced only by the birds and the fish as you can see from this photo taken around 6pm.
The Salton Sea is 35 miles by 15 miles with a Salinity of slightly more than the Pacific Ocean. The Salton Sea is an inland saline lake in the Sonoran Desert of extreme southeastern California.
