An Obsession by any other name

As you all know I have an extreme fascination with rust, OK it is more of an obsession. But now I have found a new subject matter to obsess about, broken glass.

This photo was taken out at Mare Island near the housing section of the base. There are many older dilapidated building that have a great deal of character and texture. When I came across this building that had many broken and cracked windows, I decided to spend a good portion of my time up close and personal with the glass.

The spidering of the cracks that form in safety glass take on an organic look and feel. Let me know what you think. Please enjoy.

This is a COOL photo! I have a thing for cracked, mis-shapen glass. Keep working with this train of thought whenever you get the chance to shoot it! 😀
